Allergen Management & Testing

Allergen management programmes and laboratory verification — ELISA, PCR and LC-MS testing for the 14 UK regulated allergens, plus swab and rinse testing for line clearance and process risk-assessment support.

What It Covers

Scope of Work

Quantitative allergen testing for the 14 UK / EU regulated allergens

Line-clearance verification via swab and rinse testing

Allergen risk assessment for shared-line manufacture

Cross-contact investigation and root-cause analysis

Allergen management programme design and documentation

Validation of allergen cleaning procedures

Supplier verification and incoming raw-material screening

PAL ("may contain") labelling decision support

How We Do It

Methods & Instrumentation

ELISA

Quantitative allergen detection (gluten, milk, egg, soy, peanut, tree nuts, fish, crustacean, mollusc, sesame, mustard, celery, sulphites, lupin).

PCR

DNA-based detection where ELISA is unsuitable (e.g. heavily processed matrices).

LC-MS / LC-MS/MS

Confirmatory peptide-based allergen quantification.

Swab / Rinse Sampling

Validated sampling for line-clearance and cleaning verification.

Threshold Assessment

VITAL® thresholds and PAL decision support.

Regulatory Framework

Standards This Work Maps Onto
